Even though this league is pretty inexpensive I would watch out. Unfortunately they don't prioritize safety for your child. They require you to turn in an incident report and don't see it necessary to even communicate back that something has been done about the incident. The expect very young children to advocate for themselves on the field and don't allow parents to come on or coaches. Their motto if no one sees it they don't care. When a child has football slammed by another child, they don't care! Definitely a community that fosters unintelligence or unsportsmanlike behaviors. Along with all of the unorganized last minute changes I would strongly look for another League!!!! Keep in mind we have been with this league for many years and will be changing!!!

Our experience with PFC soccer league has been extremely disappointing. Within 12 minutes of registering our son, we discovered an issue with the team he was placed on and immediately reached out to the director Diego. While the director gave us guarantees and promises about our child’s placement and development, those assurances were not honored. During summer camp, we noticed that some trainers were more focused on socializing with the Female parents than actually coaching. Instead of dedicating their attention to elevating the children’s skills, they seemed distracted — which was frustrating and unprofessional. I then spoke with the director Diego about this and he allowed us to switch our child from striker camp to goalie camp using different trainers. On top of that, we later learned that players with no prior soccer experience were placed on the team, even though we were led to believe that all of the children had a certain level of experience. This created an unfair and inconsistent environment for our son and his teammates as this is a select league that they are expected to try out for versus Req. We gave the league the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and integrity left us very dissatisfied. We cannot recommend this league to other families who are looking for a serious, supportive, and development-focused soccer program.

For the 2014 boys, the two coaches I saw didn't seem to care about developing the players. They didn't consider where players wanted to play or how to improve their skills. They mostly ran scrimmages, which didn't help with passing. Specific dribbling drills would be much more useful for the kids. Take your business elsewhere!

I have 4 kids with PFC/PAYSL. I have seen it all, my 3 girls started in rec and moved into PFC and now play on the highest level for their age. There is one common theme that I have noticed throughout our years with this club, you are going to get out of the experience what you put in. If your kiddo is really passionate about soccer and progressing, the club will work with you to give them opportunities for growth. There has not been a time where I have reached out to our coaches and directors where I have not received a response. A lot of this communication was basically asking them what my player needs to do to improve. I think it is important to reach out to your team manager and coach first with your concerns. Those folks are your players biggest advocates. Of course no club is perfect but we have a good group of coaches, parents and volunteers here. I really don’t see toxicity or foul language on the sidelines that I have noticed with other clubs. In my experience they do a good job shutting that down. Communication is also very good at the younger age academy level.

We’ve used this organization for years. Through 3 kids. It is well organized with volunteers. I even played for PAYSL starting back in 1989. For me, it led to ODP and competitive teams and a lifetime of love for the sport. I can only hope my kids get the same memorable experiences playing with PAYSL in the 2020s. Coaches can be hit or miss being parent volunteers. For many reasons including the cost and convenience we are happy with this organization.
