Powered by GoogleWe love that we can go work out at this great facility for a great price. Its location is central and beautiful, plus it has long hours, so it’s attractive and available in many ways. We especially love that we all get something out of it - I love the Zumba classes, my husband swims laps, and my sons work out in the gym regularly. We also had great experiences with kids basketball and soccer there in the past. Thank you Townlake Y!
I love the pilates and yoga classes. All the instructors are great and there is always something for everyone. Every class feels accessible and welcoming while also providing different levels of challenge. Amanda, Q, Elizabeth, and Kymberlie are my favorite instructors! I always know the “why” behind the movements and exercises I am doing which helps me stay invested in my health and growing my strength. I love the diversity of everyone at the Y as well, I feel comfortable being myself and trying out anything. The front desk staff is always welcoming and kind, especially Ruvi! I love the Y!
Best gym in the downtown area. It’s one of the most affordable options while still being one of the nicest. The machines are updated, the staff is great, and it’s always clean. Everyone is super respectful, and there are a lot of machines that women tend to use, like a hip thrust machine, which I’ve noticed many gyms don’t have. The facility itself is beautiful both inside and out, and having a dedicated parking lot is such a huge plus—especially for downtown, where parking is usually a nightmare. I was using Gold’s Gym before, but it felt pretty outdated, there was never parking, and it felt somewhat unsafe outside. On top of that, the cancellation process was a pain and way more complicated than it should be. The YMCA feels much safer and overall is one of the best gyms I’ve been to, especially for the very reasonable pricing.
A true community gem – perfect for the whole family! The Townlake YMCA has been an absolute game changer for our family. The childcare program is outstanding – my daughter genuinely loves going, the caretakers are wonderful, and it gives me the perfect window to get my workout in each morning. The personal training sessions have also been incredibly helpful in getting me more comfortable with the equipment. The YMCA model of supporting families at all income levels is something I deeply appreciate. Highly recommend a membership to everyone!
Beware it may look pretty on the outside but it’s still a YMCA. The building is stunning with the main area being clean enough but the second you get to the locker rooms..rust and wear everywhere, i’ve seen cleaner locker rooms at planet fitness. The equipment is good but there’s not nearly enough to match the amount of members. The sauna was definitely a nice addition but it’s coed and reeked of feet and people don’t follow the sauna rules. Front desk staff is also not very friendly. I will say the variety of classes is good and the instructors are great but honestly for $90 a month i’d either check out Golds gym or if you have kids and the means Lifetime fitness.
