Performing Arts Academy of Virginia Beach runs week-long themed half-day dance camps on Princess Anne Road, meeting Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm with craft supplies included and dancers bringing their own snack and water. Camps are split by age: Ms. Rachel's Music & Movement and Princess Party for ages 2-4, and Barbie Dance Week and Rising Star Dance Camp for ages 5-8, each mixing dance instruction with themed games and crafts and closing with an end-of-week performance. Each session needs a minimum of five participants to run. The academy also offers a summer class session from July 13 to August 8 and teaches ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and ballroom year-round.
