Chesapeake Dance Center runs summer camps and a six-week summer class session for ages 3 through adult at its Greenbrier Shoppes studio, teaching creative dance, pre-ballet, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary and hip hop. The studio treats dance as a performing art rather than a competitive sport and offers several performance opportunities; students have gone on to Old Donation Center, Governor's School of the Arts and Richmond Ballet's apprenticeship program. Early registration discounts of $10 off each camp and $10 off six-week class tuition are offered, and enrollment is online or by phone.
