Penfield Little League

Penfield Little League is a volunteer-run youth baseball and softball league, not a summer camp. Baseball divisions run from Rookies (ages 4-5) through Senior (ages 14-16), and softball from Rookie (ages 6-8) through Senior (ages 13-16), so children register by league age rather than by camp week. The league also runs a Challenger Division for physically and mentally challenged players from league age 5 through 22, and plays at fields on Atlantic Avenue in Penfield.

★★★★★Tom CaseyWondering why the Penfield High School team is again not a featured guest at LL Opening Day? That team is usually the end result of the work of coaches and parents involved in Little League. Several of those kids grew up on their fields and in their clinics. Apparently last year a neighboring towns team was mentioned as the board members son/grandson lives there. The little ones recognize those who came before them. Maybe the board should.
