The Battery is a family-owned baseball and softball training facility in Rochester, run by the Tillinghast family since 1983 at 1520 Spencerport Road. Its annual July summer camp is built around offensive and defensive drills, skills competitions including a home run derby, and daily scrimmages, with college coaches and players teaching all aspects of the game and lead instructor Fred Tillinghast directing. The Battery also runs a range of little league and high school camps and all-skills academies, from single-skill specialty camps to broader programs, alongside individual lessons, cage rentals and team training.

Great experience there. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone
Both of my kids do baseball activities here from camps to pitching lessons. Great place to learn and grow as a player.
Great place for learning and improving baseball and softball skills, especially batting and pitching. My daughters work with both coach Fred for batting and coach Courtney for pitching, and both are excellent. Lucky to have this great resource locally with such amazing people. Our teams also set up regular practices here. Very busy so be patient when trying to get something set up but totally worth it. Couldn't recommend them more!
