Henrietta Recreation Center at 605 Calkins Road is the Town of Henrietta's Parks and Recreation base, and its flagship summer offering is the Summer Playground Program: a Monday-Friday day camp running early July to mid-August, 9:00am to 3:00pm, with games, outdoor activities, craft projects, special events and field trips, for children entering grades 1-7 who live in the Rush-Henrietta School District. It runs at several school sites (Sherman, Winslow, Fyle and Crane) with an Extended Playground option until 6:00pm, and the department also runs a STAR program for students entering grades 8-10 with on-site activities and field trips, a one-week Summer Fun Week camp, and sport-specific camps in baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis and flag football plus art, drama and gymnastics camps. Non-residents pay a higher rate.

I love the second level track for walking. Clean and attractive. Staff are wonderful. Early morning is best time for track. Get there at 7:30 or 8:00.

Love the rec center! Clean, well managed facility! Lots of classes for all ages at reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. I love the indoor track. I do wish they had weights and workout machines, but I'm thankful they have all thay they do! They have wonderful events for the while family as well!

Clean, well-lit facility, but it’s not really suitable for anything more than casual activity. The staff are helpful and pleasant. I cannot recommend the indoor track for runners. It’s more of an ‘older folks social club’, where slower walkers will walk side by side so they can chit-chat, meanwhile blocking the clearly marked running lane.
