Palos Baseball Organization is a 60-year-old nonprofit, all-volunteer youth baseball league in Palos Heights, funded by registration fees, concessions, corporate sponsors and donations rather than by the city. It runs season-long recreational divisions with all-star events, development days for extra skill work, a travel tournament and its own Thunder travel teams, played at the PBO fields on West College Drive. The program is run by a volunteer board and committees covering rules, fields, safety, umpires and development.
