Lil Sluggers Chicago runs a FUNdamentals Summer Camp at Wrightwood Park in Lincoln Park, where campers rotate through hitting, base-running, fielding and throwing drills, teamwork competitions on the rules of the game, a home run derby using pitching machines and a real outfield fence, and coach-pitch instructional games. Full-day campers spend the afternoon choosing between competitive baseball games and multi-sport activities such as lacrosse, soccer, flag football and basketball. Camp meets Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm full day or 9:00am to 12:00pm half day, during camp weeks in June, July and August, and families can register for a full week or by individual day. It is open to ages 4 to 8; campers receive a camp jersey at check-in and bring their own glove, a nut-free snack, water bottle and (for full day) a packed lunch.

Powered by GoogleI cannot say enough great things about this program. Coach Edgar and his staff are amazing! They make baseball fun and introduce the sport in a way that helps the kids learn and understand without feeling intimidated. You can tell they have all played and love the game. We’ve done the indoor session and coach pitch both were great. Thank you Lil Sluggers and Bash!
Great experience for my 7 year old son. We just finished summer coach pitch and will definitely sign up again for the Fall. Thanks to all the wonderful coaches! He is more confident than ever and is only going to get better. :)
I have nothing but good things to say about this program. The coaches are the perfect mix of fun, encouraging, and teaching. They know the kids’ names pretty much from week one. Even among the larger team, each kid receives individual attention while teamwork is also stressed. Lil Sluggers is a fun and welcoming introduction to baseball.
Lil sluggers has been so good for my son. He's done several sessions and we will carry on as long as we can. I cannot say enough good things about the coaches. All of them have been great but Coach Edgar and Earl are especially awesome and we probably would not continue if not for them. The patience and energy the coaches bring is remarkable, as some of the kids can honestly be quite annoying. I don't know how they do it! Highly recommend.
Awesome classes for my grandsons so much better than toys. He goes once a week and has a blast and is learning skills at the same time. Coach Noah and Coach Matt have a magical way of dealing with the children they are having so much fun.
