I used to love everything about this place. The coaches are caring, respectful, and knowledgeable, and I really appreciated how flexible the make-up classes used to be. Recently, though, the experience feels inconsistent, it depends on the coach. Some are great, but others do the bare minimum. I’m also disappointed with the new make-up policy. We have two classes back-to-back, so if we miss a day, we miss both. Only offering one make-up class per month doesn’t feel fair, especially since kids get sick. My daughter wants to add a ninja class, but because of this, we’ll likely just drop down to one instead.

Poor communication overall. If I had seen the review from user Robyn, I would not have booked with this place. While the staff on-site during my daughter’s birthday party was friendly — the management (who is essentially hiding the fact that you’re paying for a single hour of play and less than an hour of time in the party room) needs to be replaced with more competent business owners. I essentially had a very different experience from any other reputable business that offers party services in Solano County. You would be better off going to the Vacaville city gymnastics gym, Skyzone or Jumpity Bumpity to host a birthday party than this place. At least those places will outline exactly what you’re getting in terms of playtime and party room access — and if they’re going to schedule your party at the same time as another party (which is what happened to me), they will make sure your personal belongings are taken care of. Unlike at PESA, where my parents who traveled from out of state to celebrate with their granddaughter, had to wait in the lobby with our presents, cake and food (that they had prepared from scratch) during the event. Such an embarrassment — and all for the price of $400+

Upon arrival at 2:30 which was when my sister had reserved the birthday room, the room itself was not available. That room would not be available until 3:30 and we were pushed to leave promptly at 4:30. This policy of 1 hour of playtime for the kids in the gym and 1 hour in the party room was NOT communicated to my sister throughout the booking process. Even if this policy is adopted by other places, it was NOT made clear and expectations were NOT established. We arrived at 2:30 with all the food and decorations ready but were expected to wait an hour before setting up. The parents of the kids that came were forced to loiter around the gym area since there was no place for them to sit. Once we did have the room we had to rush to set up, rush to get everyone to eat, rush to eat the cake, and there was no time for presents. My sister would NOT have booked here if this policy had been made known to her. In effect, we were given 50% of what was expected, which was 2 hours in the birthday room and playing in the gym SIMULTANEOUSLY. This whole ordeal caused my sister a lot of stress and I believe a 50% refund is in order. I will be posting this experience on all sites and communicating with your staff until this has been made right. UPDATE: Your facility agreed to reimburse the 50% but I see that response has been deleted.

An opportunity came up to review PESA and I was surprised to read the previous review about the gymnastics meet held over the weekend. I attended that meet, and did not have anywhere close to the same experience. I can't disagree about it being a little bit crowded and the bathroom situation being not ideal, some of that was totally out of their hands. We were at this meet two years ago and I noticed nothing but improvements this year. I've been attending gymnastics meets for 5+ years now and I thought they did a fantastic job. There was great line of sight for every event, always a plus when you're trying to get photos and videos. The shout outs and snack bar were fantastic (my daughter was thrilled to get some cup o' noodles!) really nice meet gift, awards went really smooth. Maybe I just got lucky with parking, but we didn't have any trouble getting in and out of there, and everyone was super friendly. I would be happy to come back to this meet, well done Pacific Edge!

I just have to say the disorganization and chaos that was the carnival masquerade was truly pathetic. To start, the event was hours late. Meaning families that drove in from several hours away would end up coming home extremely late with their 8-year-old children. This was difficult to deal with but something that could have been tolerable had everything else been a little bit better. There was no less than a 15 minute wait for the restroom almost the entire night, they sold out of the free shirts that they were supposed to give to the gymnasts for attending. There was absolutely no parking at the entire facility. People were forced to park on the softball field and in no parking zones, on curbs and sidewalks adding to the stress knowing they would have to move their cars or worse be towed out while their child was performing. There were no apologies There was no sympathy or empathy for such a terrible event nobody there knew how far they were running behind or when things would actually get started. I am confident we violated fire code with the amount of people stuffed shoulder to shoulder upstairs. Absolutely sardine packed, kids stepping on each other sitting packed on the floor to get their awards. Inadequate space for this event. Very disgusting bathrooms. Very disgusting surroundings with homeless all around in the park and construction in the parking lot. An encampment blocked our access on one side and we had to go the long way. One of the bathrooms had broken glass in it the other had a toilet with green mold inside. I really hope we never come back here for a meet ever again. I can't speak to how they do at their home gym, I would imagine they hold a much higher standard there. *Update, I appreciate the response. Several of these issues were not in your control. What was, was the ability to communicate it to everyone. I also apologize, the national anthem was played at the beginning of the day and not at the start of our events. I was wrong. Again, thank you for the response.
