Oak Park Youth Baseball & Softball is one of the largest athletic associations in Oak Park, a nonprofit youth league of roughly 1,500 players: baseball for ages 5 to 18 and girls' softball for ages 5 to 14, with leagues organized by birth year (league age as of January 1). It runs a spring season plus a shortened fall season from mid-August through mid-October, open to returning and new players of all skill levels at $150-$175 per league. Since 2013 players and coaches have been outfitted with jerseys and caps by the Chicago White Sox, who have also provided instruction.
