After spending years around high-level youth and professional soccer environments, I can say with absolute confidence that NVSC is one of the most disappointing programs I’ve encountered. The gap between what they promise and what they actually deliver is enormous. A huge portion of NVSC’s energy seems to be poured into the younger age groups, especially the under-10s — but the tragedy is that despite focusing so heavily on these foundational ages, the coaching quality is nowhere near the standard required to develop real talent. These are the golden years of technical growth, and NVSC treats them like a casual hobby. The majority of training sessions I witnessed were directionless, poorly structured, and shockingly ineffective. Coaches appeared physically unprepared to demonstrate proper technique and often looked like they were improvising drills just to fill time. There was no tactical progression, no individualized correction, and no true developmental purpose. It’s “training” in the loosest form of the word. Parents are paying serious money for so-called development that is ultimately a waste of time, money, and player potential. And regarding Coach Todd Spitalny — in my experience, he talks endlessly about big ideas, bold visions, and transformative development, but the moment you look at the field, none of that talk materializes. The disconnect between the speeches and the actual coaching product is staggering. For a club that claims to build players from the ground up, NVSC is doing the exact opposite. If anything, they’re stunting growth during the most critical developmental years. Unless NVSC completely overhauls its coaching standards, training methodology, and leadership execution, it will remain what it is now: a hype-driven program with no real substance, wasting the potential of kids who deserve far better.

We just remove our son from this league. Coaching staff have no idea about soccer skills or how to train the kids. Last year the team where my son was didn't win one single game all year. Please think about it twice before you put your kids with this league. Fields are amazing but Coaching staff have very poor skills.

What can I say, they took in my 11 year old son who had a pause from playing for a whole year due to a double worst break that required two surgeries, and although I asked many many times before registering him if they have what it takes to take care of him in terms of confidence and getting him back to his skills and fitness. The coach of that team (although knowledgeable) had no good communication with the kids, doing drills mostly frustrating and advanced for their level. He was frustrated with them, and I speak on behalf of only my son, so was he, in the least. He played him in positions opposite his physical and skill abilities, and while he demanded he shoots and finishes better on goal, hardly ever practiced things other than passing drills. Then on match day demanded that the finishing be better. From a kid who has not shot on a goal in one year. Although I always communicated with the coach, and he said he had a plan, and I trusted that, all he did is make my son grow less and less confident, with him crying after matches, and getting dragged for practices instead of his usual passionate self. I communicated with the club director, and emailed him, and he didn’t even reply to my email. And that is why I feel this is a badly managed club, and that is the reputation I heard from parents regular in the club, but had to see it myself before I judge. My son is nowhere near perfect, but you would expect we pay this hard earned money for our kids to learn and grow and continue dreaming, in the very least. But when a club kills that dream, and deflates that passion in a boy’s honest heart, then you have to know you are in the wrong place.

I recently requested a full refund from this organization for my two children due to unforeseen circumstances that drastically affected my family beyond our control. Brian from the organization replied without remorse or empathy that we were four days out of the return policy window. The season has not begun nor has one practice or one game been held. I pleaded with this man to be understanding and considerate to what my family and I was dealing with. My family has supported this organization for multiple years, in fact all three of my children have played with this organization for multiple seasons. It is very disheartening to receive no consideration or support from a business we have supported for so many years. We will NEVER support this organization in the future. All potential families looking for a soccer home for your children to play, THIS IS NOT THE ORGANIZATION THAT CARES ABOUT YOUR BEST INTEREST.

Been with this organization for about 10 years, coached my oldest there during his recreational years and has played travel level CCL1/Premier team for 2 going into his 3rd. Now Im doing the same with my youngest, great soccer club and their staff are ALWAYS willing to help you with a smile.....
