The Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center is an ACA-accredited camp and conference center on 229 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Front Royal, Virginia, affiliated with Virginia Tech and Cooperative Extension. Its 4-H Junior Camp is a five-day, four-night overnight camp for youth ages 9-14, with swimming, canoeing, archery, field sports, outdoor cookery, challenge courses, crafts and campfires, serving 19 Northern Virginia jurisdictions.

There’s a blue trail between the buildings by the parking lot near the Pool & Playground, which connects to the Appalachian Trail. As far as I know, there are a huge animal center with fields and many horse stalls, many sports fields, a swimming pool, a beautiful lake, many lodges, conference centers, amphitheaters, picnic areas and more... Yet to try and find out about the lodging and other activities over here. But definitely worth a try!

My daughter has been three years in a row and I just dropped my son off for his first year! The counselors are wonderful, responsible young adults and the directors do an amazing job of running everything smoothly! I don't have to worry at all and I know my children will have a wonderful time . If you are looking for a camp in the area, I highly recommend!
