Northeast Community Center is a fitness and community center in Portland's Hollywood neighborhood that runs summer day camps for children roughly ages 6-12. Camps run weekdays 9:00am to 4:00pm with recreation and field trips; the field-trip camp for older kids includes admissions and daily bus passes.

Yes, it's not as fancy as a 24 Hour Fitness Center but if that's what you want, it's right around the corner. I find it to be clean enough for me, but it's not a brand new facility by any means. Always a smile from the front desk when I check in and the other members are friendly and welcoming. If you are a senior and have a 'Silver Sneakers' type benefit you can use it to join. A real COMMUNITY center, members are mostly from the immediate area.
