The Alabama Nature Center (NaturePlex) at Lanark in Millbrook, run by the Alabama Wildlife Federation, offers summer nature day camps for children ages 5-15, including Tadpoles to Trail Blazers, High Adventure and a Counselors-in-Training program. Campers explore the center's 350 acres of trails and habitats; the day runs about 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with optional extended care.
