Natural Discovery is a nonprofit forest school on 20-plus acres of undeveloped land in Monee that runs summer camps alongside its TimberNook nature programs, arts-and-nature classes and family forest days. Programs are 100% outdoors in rain, heat or snow, using sensory-rich, child-led outdoor play; campers are expected to arrive in outdoor gear with a lunch and a change of clothes. The organization serves families with children roughly ages 1.5 to 12, uses a multi-age model with low student-teacher ratios, and operates from a Christian worldview without teaching a specifically Christian curriculum.
