Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center is a 38-acre nature preserve in Olympia Fields operated jointly by the Homewood-Flossmoor and Olympia Fields Park Districts. Its Nature Kids Camp (ages 5–9) runs weekly themed sessions of trail exploration, outdoor play, hands-on S.T.E.A.M. activities, games and crafts, while Adventure Camp (ages 10–12) adds two trips a week, pool visits and outdoor-skills challenges. Camp runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3 pm, and campers must be 5 by September 1. A one-day Friday Nature F.U.N. option is available for ages 5–9 for families wanting a taste of camp.

Powered by GoogleEventbrite recommended this place for a Juneteenth nature walk, yoga class, and sound healing experience, to which I invited my bestie. The ladies are all so kind. The nature trail had so many beautiful sites. We even passed by a golf course on the other side of the fence. All the puddles made parts of the area look like Venice. I never get to go to Olympia Fields, so an experience like what happened for me has honestly felt so joyful that they just gave me every reason to come back every chance I get. I’m recommending this place to all my friends.
Great nature trails. Attended for a child's party. Great guide.
Make sure you bring a flashlight going there at night. It gets very dark. Excellent place to have a bonfire. They have a huge tent there with lights. There are 2 staff members that control the fire and supervise your party. Easily holds over 200 people. They give tours there but you have to book it. Steep stairs going downhill to get to tent and bonfire. You can rent the upstairs room which sits about 80 people. Ample amount of parking. Great for groups. Nice atmosphere with this forest preserve. Staff very helpful. Check this place out.
I rented there room for my 60th Birthday Party on Saturday10/23. Caryn and Liv were Spectacular! Caryn helped me with my many calls about any little thing, and then when we arrived Liv was on the scene to help out as well! My event was a hit and the Facility made it even more of a lasting memory!
Omg, this place was so nice. So many team exercises. You go rock climbing, go whaling, play games, learn how to work together. It is really fun. Just what I have said is like only 10% of the real package. My instructor Chris taught us how to be well-kind, hard-working, strong, and trustworthy kids. I owe all of the trip to him. He made it such a fun field trip. In the beginning I thought I was going to hate it, but instead I loved it from the start to the end. While I was there, me and my group broke a record, for going through a hula hoop in less than seven seconds. We made history. I was also in a group with all my friends which made the trip even better. If I wasn’t with the people I was with, I would never have gotten through the day with happiness. So thank you one more for Mr. Chris for being the best instructor ever at irons oaks.
