I cannot say enough incredible things about the Intensive EMT course through the National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education. From start to finish, this program exceeded every expectation I had. The sheer amount of resources available to students is unmatched. Whether it was hands-on practice, study materials, or instructor support, everything we needed to succeed was right at our fingertips. What truly set this program apart, though, was the intentional time given to actually learn. We weren’t rushed, we were given the space to study, absorb, ask questions, and build real confidence in both our knowledge and our skills. The instructors were phenomenal. They didn’t just teach to pass a test, they made sure we felt prepared to step into real-life situations with competence and confidence. You could tell they genuinely cared about each student’s success. A special shoutout to David Young, our head instructor. This was his first cohort with NCOAE, and we were incredibly lucky to be part of it. He is truly someone who was built to lead. His ability to teach, mentor, and inspire is rare, and his story is one that deserves to be heard far beyond the classroom. He set the tone for excellence and made a lasting impact on every single one of us. I would recommend NCOAE to absolutely anyone considering an EMT program, you will leave not only educated, but genuinely prepared. Also worth mentioning is their sister company, Education Without Walls, a nonprofit doing important work to support teens who need extra guidance and opportunity. It’s clear that NCOAE is about more than just education, they’re about impact. If you’re on the fence, just do it. This program is something special.

I took the 21 day in-person EMT course. If you're looking for an accelerated program and you're willing to fully dedicate yourself for 3 weeks then I highly recommend this course. The instructors have a ton of EMS experience. They are very committed to student success by thoroughly answering any questions we had and doing all the things to make our class into competent EMT's. The clinical experiences at the end were a highlight. We got to put the classroom material to the test during real 911 calls with a Brunswick county ambulance. Even though it was academically rigorous, the course was highly enjoyable, so I was sad when it ended. I feel the overall quality of my education here was excellent.

Took the Intensive 21 day in person EMT course. Highly recommend it. It’s an intense class and goes by very quick, lots of information in a short period of time but the instructors are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Lots of scenarios and hands on experience that will get you ready for the NREMT exam. They give you an option to stay on campus if you do not want to get a air bnb or hotel Expect to study quite a lot in the evenings and have no days off in the 21 days. Expect to buy pre course books beforehand and to do class work before the class starts for clinicians

This Weekend I completed the NCOAE W.F.A. course and let me tell ya folks. It was a very informative, active learning, and fun environment. Zac and Todd bring a blend of seriousness and dad jokes to balance out the sometimes heavy topics covered. Not one person in our group had doubts in our capabilities after this course. If you are a parent, young adult, teenager or anything in between, I highly encourage you to take this course if you are even semi outdoorsy!
