Powered by GoogleI joined to have a therapy type pool due to having hip surgery a few months ago. Now, the indoor pools are only open from 6 - 11 daily and NOT AT ALL on the weekends. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll be shopping for alternatives. This is way too pricey for what they offer. Small gym. Hardly ever open indoor pools. Highly disappointed with my membership. Some of the staff can be snobby although I can't see why. Others are very nice and helpful. Find another gym is my advice.
We were members for a few years. The basketball court barely got any attention. The floors were dirty on the regular. I even cleaned them a few times. Besides that not any real complaints. And then they raised our bill from 70$ a month to 175$ a month for the family plan. They raised it over $100 a month! What kind of business owner jumps up prices like that? It almost seems like they were trying to price out the "undesirables".They said it was future plans, but you don't raise prices on a customer for something they aren't receiving.
During the first six months of membership, it was just barely worth it. After that, however, it became DEFINITELY worth it. The difference? We went more! Took advantage of classes. Invited friends to join, whom we knew would enjoy it and use it, so that we now like to go meet them there, which encourages us to go more. We're a family of ten now, so $8/mo/person is a totally amazing deal. The facility is top grade compared to what you might expect in Columbia. The staff are solidly professional and genuinely personable. We haven't encountered any rude clients. It's just been a great blessing to us. Edit, 5+ years later. I don't remember if the hot tub ever worked. It's almost like one of those dreams from your childhood that you aren't sure whether it was real or not. Only one of the showers in the men's locker room works. The prices are skyrocketing. They close the indoor pool in the middle of the day, so that you really can't use it on your lunch hour or at all unless you come early in the morning or later in the evening. The outdoor pool is only open 3 months a year. There are no kids fitness classes, neither in the evening nor for homeschool gym anymore. I don't think any of the people that we had gotten to sign up to use it with us are still members. The value is a fraction of what it used to be.
Signed up a couple weeks ago to use the weight rooms and a sauna and have had an overall positive experience. They have a good variety of modern equipment to hit all the strength training/cardio bases. There’s a couple machines that an avid body builder would be missing like a leg press and calf raise machine, but I’ve found a solid substitute here for anything that was lacking. It’s all serviceable apart from a couple treadmills. The weight room has always been clean/odor free and the staff has been reasonably helpful and friendly in my experience. Other than that, I’ve been excited to get my workouts in and haven’t felt hindered in any way here. If I had a gripe, I wish they preserved their 5am opening time throughout the weekend. Also, the men’s locker room/showers doesn’t give off the cleanest vibes from what I’ve seen but plenty of dudes seem to use them without issues. Other than that, I’m a happy member and know several other members who are equally satisfied. I can’t personally speak to the pool issues that seem to be over-represented in the negative reviews, but I’ve only heard good things from people who work out here.
Used to be such a great place to come. I would get a day pass for my son to swim while my daughter took swimming lessons. Everyone had a great time. They no longer offer day passes and have upped the price of swim lessons $15 in under a years time. The membership fee per month is outrageous for what little they provide. It is an older rec center with nowhere near the activity offerings of one’s like longview in Spring Hill. Didn’t think a Williamson county rec center would ever offer better pricing and experience but here we are. They are charging comparable prices but not providing comparable quality. It seems they have switched ownership or management and someone doesn’t know what they’re doing. Noticeable change in quality, organization and service. Multiple times over the summer I was charge twice or told I didn’t pay when I produced a receipt. Had several times we made reservations just to be told we didn’t. Our swim instructor is amazing, too bad they price their own community out. Would not recommend until they literally clean up, upgrade equipment and serve the community rather than their bank accounts trying to give as little as possible for the dollar spent.
