This girls basketball program has been managed so poorly. Once they get your money they just don't care about anything. The girls get the secondary gyms with almost no seating while the boys get the nice gyms with full bleachers. The coach is poor. Shows up late if at all and doesn't actually coach the kids. On top of it. They have no control during the games. Letting other kids. Specifically the little boys, play with footballs and other crap and the gyms while the girls are playing and preparing for their games. Choose a different program. This one just wants your money. The mukilteo coach is also very disrespectful, his son is one that he allows to throw a football on the other side of the gym where the other team is practicing. Just rude, entitled, and narcissistic all around

Deeply disappointing experience, specifically around the facility’s decision to no longer allow family members to use the universal facility policy. For families who rely on childcare, this feels like a significant step backward and shows a lack of support for the very community this place is meant to serve. What makes this even more frustrating is that so much of the experience is genuinely good. The classes are well run, the Kids Zone staff is warm and attentive, and the instructors are excellent. It is clear that the frontline team cares about members and their families. Unfortunately, the administration has been dismissive and unhelpful when approached about this policy change. A facility that serves families should have leadership that reflects the same care and professionalism as the rest of its staff.

While waiting in the Mukilteo YMCA lobby for my son to finish swim lessons, I could hear Juli L. answer phone calls. I am impressed with her professionalism, her friendly mannerism and her ability to help callers resolve their problems when needed. She is always cheerful, even when I could tell the caller was being difficult. Juli knows pretty much everyone and greets them by name when they walk in. Her cheerful attitude sets the tone to help make coming to this YMCA a very positive experience.

We take our kids swimming here. Its basically what you would expect from a YMCA, there is a membership fee, then additional fees for classes. You need to be quick to register otherwise the classes will fill up. The instructors are patient, im sure working with up to 6 little kids who dont want to pay attention can be exhausting, but they are patient. it can feel like there isnt much 1:1 teaching, because there are other kids, but thats part of having a bunch of kids in a class and everyone does get a turn. Overall our kids have gotten much more comfortable with swimming and being in the water. the classes are after school which works well. The facilities are clean and there is a decent parking lot and decent changing rooms. The outside playground is fun for kids to play on before swim lessons. You will need to badge in at the front desk to get into the facilities.
