Moorestown Theater Company runs Summer Stage, a musical theater camp for children ages 6-18 (grades 1-12), based at 19 West Main Street in Moorestown. There are usually three to six sessions each summer, with rising 7th graders able to choose either the pre-teen or teen session, and campers rehearse and perform as student-actors. The company is a nonprofit performing-arts education organization; daily camp hours are not published.

Powered by GoogleI watched “Something Rotten” and was glad I did. This theater group did a fantastic job and the performance was outstanding w/ acting and singing. I laughed a lot and even cried at times. Bravo w/ this play!!!
I have been a performer here for several years now. This company helped reinvigorate a love of performing in me when I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I am now a professional early career actor, and I owe part of my decision to their work and commitment to musical theater. This company has seen me at a variety of lows and highs but they have had my back through it all. I recently finished directing my first full length show at MTC, and I had a blast. The honor and trust they placed in me was not used lightly, and I am proud to be a member of the MTC family. That's what you are there. A member of a family. Your cast mates, crew, production team and beyond (even if you're just in one show) are a support group. Everyone who is there is there for the love of live theater. If you're looking for a family friendly theater or if you're new to the whole theater life, this is a perfect place for you. I tell people time and again, I myself come back for the people. It is the individuals you do the work with that make the experience so wonderful. Well, anyway, enough rambling. Go check them out already!
Despite a global pandemic, Moorestown Theater Company did something that Broadway could not; putting on a musical safely in these dark, and historic times. Even with the complete halt of live entertainment this organization was able to put on a show that kept both the cast and the audience safe by following CDC guidelines. They rented a large room to serve as the auditorium, spaced all seats out with 6-10 foot radius, required the audience to wear their masks correctly, and during intermission had people eat their snacks outside. The cast all wore face shields and they even did the tango without touching each other. Theater dies when it is in the dark, but with creative thinking there are ways to keep the arts alive. I look forward to even more performances done by this company in the future.
A year after my high school graduation, I wanted to "get my foot in the door" in the career of performing arts. Thats when a family member told me about "Moorestown Theater Company". Since 2016, I've been doing about four stage shows with them a year. "The Winter" & "Spring Stage", my all time favorite "The Main Stage" in mid summer. And the "Holiday Stage" in early December. I operate the spotlight during the year, and get to be a stagehand in the summer time. Its good being able to work with the performers on the stage. My family supports the wonderful Theater "Behind the Scenes" career, I'm building on my resume. I look forward to continuing an amazing career with MTC
