Powered by GoogleIt's a very large facility & staff gave me a tour first. As mentioned, the men's locker room is outdated. The pool areas are quite spacious & they provide disabled access to pools & sauna. People wipe gym machines with sanitary wipes. I would like to see totes with Sports Center design. Maybe $4 to $5 per tote. To put my gym stuff in.
The staff is very friendly but that’s as far as the good goes. The gym feels like it’s stuck in the 90s, layout is not really well thought out, always crowded, locker rooms are outdated, and parking lot is always full. For a rec center it does the job, but I expected better quality for a place as rich as Monterey.
Good 25 yard pool. Wide lanes, not busy when I was there. $11 senior daily rate. Lots of other good weight and aerobic equipment.
What a great experience today with Melanie that taught Aqua Zumba. It was a great core/fitness workout. Convenient location and super clean facility.
I used this gym for a few days while I was at a conference. It is a pretty comprehensive gym with plenty of free weights and machines. The day pass is a bit expensive which was the only option for me unfortunately but all else was good. Price point of $10 would be so much appreciated from a traveler’s perspective.
