Clubhouse 831 is a youth baseball and softball training facility on California's Central Coast with locations in Pacific Grove and Salinas, founded by former college outfielder Sean Halton. ★★★★★Jim MFirst, the location is open and the facility is on the northern end of the old Tin Cannery. Parking out front is for this facility for trainees and drop-off/pick-up. We were in town for the holidays with twin 10-yo boys. We signed up for the holiday camp which our kids loved and tired them out while making new friends. The values of Sean and his team are very apparent in looking for teamwork, empathy, and rewarding kids putting forth effort as opposed to simply skill. We also did three lessons with Sean which were reasonably priced and focused on pitching and hitting - excellent value and experience overall. As a 10U asst coach in another area, the information and style of teaching was just as useful for me and taught me a number of new initiatives we've put into our league as well. Both boys returned from the training and have played exceptionally well with a new level of confidence and skill. From this experience, we will definitely return this summer for additional experiences with Sean and his team. Highly recommend as he has an exceptional skill in teaching from day 0 of baseball into the kids he's mentored heading off to college and beyond.
