MetroBall Youth Outreach is a Washington, D.C. 501(c)(3) youth basketball nonprofit serving boys and girls ages 7–18. Its summer offering is the New York Ave. Classic youth streetball league (mid-June through mid-August); during the school year it runs afterschool basketball-skills programs and coaches AAU travel teams. It is a league-format youth sports program rather than a traditional day camp.

Powered by GoogleMetroball is the Largest and longest running youth basketball organization (over 25 years) in the greater Washington DC area. They have great programs for youth that not only teach them how to play basketball, but how to take care of their overall health. They particularly have experience with at-risk youth and have sent many of them to college on full scholarships. They emphasize community service for youth and also operate mentoring and basketball programs inside the juvenile detention centers. For more advanced youth, they compete on travel teams in high level events across the country. Many programs are at a low cost. This organization has proven to be all about the youth. An all around great program for boys and girls.
