Community tennis center in Charlestown, run by the Friends of the Mel Stillman Community Tennis Center, which operates the CHAD Tennis program formerly managed by CHAD, Inc. Its summer offering, CHAD Little Wonders, is a 9:00am-10:30am outdoor clinic in introductory tennis skills and games, registered by the week (about $200 per week, or $50 per day, no drop-ins) across roughly nine weeks from late June through late August; children bring a snack, sunscreen, hat and water, and sessions are cancelled in rain. The center also supplies free community tennis programming to Warren Prescott School, Edwards Middle School, Charlestown High School and the Charlestown Community Center's vacation and summer programs, reaching around 500 children a year.
