Powered by GoogleGreat experiences. Show & cast were amazing. Seating is good overall. Nice lobby for refreshments. Gracious audience. Well done!
Frankie Valli in the Island Club. We were told by the ushers that this was a seventy minute show with no intermission. The performer was excellent but did seem to rush one song after another. He abruptly ended the show after 40 minutes. Everyone just remained seated feeling we got the “ bum’s rush”. I have been a consistent patron of the Maltz and this has never happened before. I am very disappointed and do not feel I got moneys’ worth, I am now rethinking the other shows in the Island theater
Beautiful theatre, intimate setting, smaller venue. Ushers and other staff are kind and helpful. My group of friends saw Material Girls there. The acoustics were very good. Not a bad seat inside the theatre. Convenient location, good amount of parking spots.
I recently saw Come From Away and while I knew the premise behind the story I wasn’t expecting to be transported back to that awful day in my memory. The show was a mix of seriousness about the magnitude of this horrific tragedy, at times humorous, but it mainly showed compassion and empathy towards those affected. The staging was simplistic which was great, the music was moving and I liked how all the actors played multiples roles, constantly changing their outfits, voices and character. I cried, I laughed and have to say it’s probably one of the best Broadway shows I’ve personally seen.
I've been going to the Maltz Theater when it was still Burt Reynolds theater. Today I was at the Come From Away performance & it was one of the best plays I've seen. It made me laugh, cry, stomp my feet. Very talented cast. Singers were amazing. Highly recommend. Last month saw Million Dollar Quartet which was outstanding.
