We recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Barclay, and they turned it into such a fun moment! All kids went home feeling sooo HAPPY! A memory we’ll cherish forever. 💜 Barclay has become a second home for my kid. She started with musical theater lessons, quickly joined a show program (I was so impressed by what they’re able to create with the kids — they take it seriously and turn it into a beautiful, professional-quality show). She later began taking dance classes there too, and now she just wants to do more and more! Through all of this, we’ve found an incredible, welcoming community that makes her so happy. I’m beyond thankful to have found Barclay. I even joined the adult dance classes myself (with zero prior experience!), and it’s honestly one of the highlights of my week.

So this place sorta changed my entire life. This place is the one the most inclusive and welcoming places in Florida, if not the country. (Especially nowadays) It may be a place for theater, but it’s also like an amazing place to hang out and just be. Incredible classes taught by amazingly talented people, and show programs that not only lead into high quality shows, but also a great opportunity to bond with people you know or you don’t. I am so grateful for Barclay and the support they gave my son this past school year. We have not had the best experiences in the past at another performing arts company and was anxious, but the way that Barclay has embraced our son and given him an opportunity to shine…there are no words. Our son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 3 years old. But that has never stopped him from being exactly who he wants to be, which is an actor. With Barclay, and his teacher Zoe, we watched our son go from stuttering at home to standing in front of a room of people and performing a monologue with confidence and ease. A Safe Place for Anyone to Find Their Voice. There are many wonderful drama, dance and musical theater programs in South Florida. NONE like Barclay. Yes, they effectively teach many forms of the theater arts. What they also do is make all kids feel accepted and build self confidence. Create and promote healthy relationships. Your kids can't sing and still wants to do musical theater. They will train them and make them feel good about themselves without giving them false dreams. Want to be a star and perfect your skill? They do that as well. They don't just create stars. They create great people who become stars.
