Main Street School of the Arts is an arts school in historic downtown Tucker running themed weekly summer camps spanning visual art, drama, singing, ukulele and pop-culture themes such as Harry Potter, Pokemon and Star Wars. Camps run June 1 to July 31 and are booked by the week as a full day (9am-4pm, $350) or a half day (9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm, $175). Camps serve ages 5-12 and cap at 12 campers; sessions sell out and carry a no-refund policy.

Here's a difference when my child met real teachers and mentors in Gwinnett, and when he met unprofessional staff at this "school of art". Older review: I don't recommend this school. Summer camp staff is not professional.

It’s not just a craft class; students learn about artists, genres, trends, and movements in the art world. We’ve had a birthday party there too, and it was great--all of the fun and none of the clean-up. The summer camps are wonderful too. AND my daughter has taken music and drama lessons there. I recommend it all. The prices are reasonable, and you can do drop-ins, so you don’t end up paying for lessons that your child doesn’t attend. Try it out!
