Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan West Camp is one of two full-service ScoutsBSA summer camps at the Northeast Illinois Council's Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation, spread over 1,500 wooded acres with spring-fed lakes near Pearson. The overnight program offers aquatics, ecology and conservation, handicraft, scoutcraft, shooting sports and trailblazer activities during a season running mid-June to early August. It serves Scouts (roughly ages 11 to 17) and is run by the nonprofit Boy Scouts of America.

Powered by GoogleMy husband and son spent the week for camp and loved it! So many activities throughout the week to keep them busy! All the staff were pleasant as well
All new docks at aquatics and family camp. Vastly improved handicapped accessibility at Bridger campsite adjacent to the shower house. Campwide all of the old tents and platforms have been replaced with the new tents and platforms. Many teams have worked on facility repairs and upgrades this spring.
The West side was awesome! The food portions need to be addressed. The program planning was well done,
Amazing scout camp. Great opportunities for scouts to try new things, challenge themselves and achieve. Ma Ka Ja Wan staff allows Camp to be fun and engaging for everyone.
The past two summers I have went there. I am excited to go again this year. Amazing experiences and memories. That will last a lifetime.
