The Los Duranes Community Center hosts the City of Albuquerque's free Community Center Summer Recreation Program, an eight-week full-day summer day camp for children ages 5 to 15. Running weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from mid-June through July, it offers recreation, activities, and games at a $10 registration fee with no ongoing cost. Spots are filled by lottery due to high demand.

Attachment evidence, Los Duranes' own page: "Programs include a weekday senior lunch program and an after-school program for children ages 5-15, with pickup from Cochiti Elementary and Montessori of the Rio Grande." AGE CONFLICT, not resolved: that center page says "children ages 5-15" while the citywide page https://www.cabq.gov/family/crei/youth-programs says the Before & After School program is "for children ages 5-14. Five-year-old participants must be enrolled in Kindergarten." Upper bound left blank; both statements verbatim here.

★Maria MI stopped in a week ago to use the computer room. I wasn't allowed to use it because they were hosting the summer program, which equates to free DAYCARE. I questioned it since this is not a Headstart or YDI but a COMMUNITY center that is tax payer funded. But, of course, the desk clerk was clueless. I was just in again recently. Summer daycare has ended since people's kids are finally back at school. I noticed they were serving senior citizens and asked about purchasing a coffee. They said they can't sell me one. I will NEVER vote for tax bonds again to support the community centers.
★★★★★Viola Martinez CanoLove it! We need Senior Basketball time in the summer ✨️🙏🏀 Open gym doesn't work, because the youth takeover the whole gym and play full court basketball. We would like a afternoon and evening times for Senior Basketball at least 2 times a week for at least 2 hrs. We cannot find a place to play in a inside gym. As you know the temperature outside is climbing. Thank you. I'll be calling for a update soon 😁 Thursday evening at 5 was just perfect and after pickle ball also has also worked out well.

★★★★★Jess BenderWife's new job event, and I was very impressed with the place..... Hidden in a part of town that holds serious abq cred... Clean, quiet,well kept. The park is close and clearly a well-used ground. I felt safe, but then I tried skid row LA before, during, and after a freakin riot in the nineties, so don't listen to me..... I can tell you that I would use the place regularly if I lived in the neighborhood. The community center could easily support small/medium groups, and there is even easy access to fresh air and capacity right through the doors in each private room. It's well managed and welcoming.
