Powered by GoogleIt’s amazing that these centers spend money on advertising the facility, activities provided to the children, only to face the reality that it is not as described. My son was flat out bored and was accused of having behavior problems. They put him in timeout for no reason. These folks need proper training on how to organize children into appropriate age groups. They need to properly supervise their kids. One extreme example of poor supervision is allowing children to go into the bathroom and spy on other children. My son experienced that uncomfortable situation. A 1st grader was unsupervised and walked into the bathroom and looked into the stall and stared at my son when he was using the bathroom. In other situations, my son was being bullied by other children who attended. This was a waste of money and we will never send him here again. The only reason I chose this place because of their affiliation with activity hero. I will never send him here again.
My son had a wonderful experience at Little Champs Learning Center’s Ice Skating Summer Camp! He especially loved the daily ride on the school bus from the center to the San Jose Sharks Ice Skating Center — it was a highlight for him. He picked up ice skating really quickly and was excited to go every single day. The teachers and trainers were incredibly supportive, making sure he felt comfortable and confident on the ice. He had such a great time that he's already looking forward to attending the second week of camp. Highly recommend this program!
This camp does not provide a comforting environment for children. They do not listen to or address the needs of the kids. My child is bright and sweet, and has never been a troublemaker at school. However, on the first day of camp, he came home crying and was depressed all afternoon. The center claimed he threw the snacks, but my child told me he was trying to open the snack bag and accidentally dropped it. If they had simply listened to him and explained not to throw the snack, he wouldn’t have cried all night and been depressed all afternoon. When I tried to discuss this with the center owner, they didn’t listen and just focused on his behavior. My child has never had behavior issues at school. There is no warmth or effort to understand what the children are saying or needing. They don’t care and do not try to listen to the kids. My child has always been loved by his teachers for his behavior. I enrolled him in this place for summer camp because he loved Mad Science camp last year in Los Altos and wanted to attend again. However, at this facility, there are too many kids in a very small room, and there is not enough space.
Could not be happier with my choice of after school. All the teachers are wonderful and caring. They have a good mix of academics and fun based activities. The director Anamika is one of the nicest people I know and she goes out of her way to help address any concerns or questions i would have! Its easy to see that she genuinely cares that everyone is happy be it the students, teachers or the parents. Another gem here is Arathi who is just as awesome. She is super responsive when I need to know anything about the kids while I am at work. I can trust her blindly to follow through any requests I make. I recommend Little Champs without reservation.
This place is like a second home to my son. The teachers are very dedicated and passionate about keeping the kids engaged. My son has been to other day care centers, but he loves this place hands down. They offer a variety of extra curricular activities catering to boys and girls of various age groups. They also regularly organize family entertainment events where kids get to showcase their creative talents. Most of the homework gets done over there, greatly easing the burden on parents at home. The children are also given additional Math, reading and writing work regularly. Kids are given healthy vegan snacks as well. Overall it is a very well rounded environment for the children with the right mix of work and play. I would certainly recommend this after school care to friends and family!
