My daughter signed up for the pickleball class ( 7-10 years old), and my recommendations is unless your kids is TALL and STRONG, don't bother sign up: - it doesn't seem like it's a 8:1 student ratio (the "game" before session ended that I observed definitely has more than 8 kids, unless they are combining kids for the "game" from another session, which is for ages 11-15). How do kids from 7 years old compete in ANY games against 15 years old? It's just not fair to smaller kids! - At the end of the sessions they do a "game", combining kids aged from 7-15 (seems like, unless they are breaking the promise of 8:1 student ratio). The game first select few kids on one side (call it the "get-to-practice side") to hit the ball, and if the ball was successfully hit (landing in the other side of the court, call it "no-practice side"), then the kid gets to do another round at "get-to-practice side"; if not you go to the "no-practice side". If you successfully catch a ball that a kid hits from the "get-to-practice side" before it lands while you are at "no-practice side", then you get to go back to the "practice side". AND here is the problem: A. What I observed is that good players will continue to stay and hit the ball at "get-to-practice side", while kids that actually need practice end up on the "no-practice" side pretty quickly since they don't hit the ball well. This does not make sense since kids who need practice actually end up getting less practice than good players! B. When the kids are on the "no-practice" side, guess who gets the balls? The TALL and BIG kids (usually older kids, again think when you mix 7 year old kids with 15 year olds). So the younger players not only get less practice because they can't hit the ball well, but also have to compete with taller and bigger kids in order to return to the "get-to-practice side". The purpose of the 8:1 ratio in separate age groups is so that everyone has a fair chance to play, not just to favor the taller/bigger/better players! I have reflected the above comments to one of the coaches and he didn't seem to care for parent's feedback. I get that he's there just doing his job and getting paid, but I do hope Lifetime Activities will take my comments seriously enough to make some changes. UPDATE： The "management" graciously called back regarding my observation/comments and said they will observe what I shared. Not sure if anything will/can be done but kudos for listening to the parents. UPDATE 2: they have changed the format of the game where small and big kids are separated. My daughter said the new format was way better! Management listened to the parents and I am thankful for that!

If I could give zero stars I would. I made a reservation using their new system, received a confirmation email that I had a court reserved. I show up and there is no court because it was cancelled due to resurfacing. I received no email no call informing me. I had friends there to hit from Milpitas. Don’t trust Lifetime. They did nothing at the front desk ti help me either. I asked for a manager - Diana, but apparently she can’t be disturbed on weekends. Don’t trust Lifetime with anything tennis related. You will be disappointed.

Our daughter's weekday class was cancelled due to high heat and we were not given any option for make-up class other than a Saturday, on which we already had other activities planned. Furthermore, Lifetime Activities refused to negotiate another time or provide a refund. The way they respond to your email inquiries is also quite disappointing, it reads: "Due to our makeup policy, we unfortunately we cannot allow your daughter to make up the class on a different day/time, nor can we provide a refund/credit for the missed class. " Well, it's against my policy to miss my weekend obligations too.

Watch out for their policies. They state at their own discretion they can reschedule rain out classes which may be anytime after the session ends, no end date at all. No customer courtesy on display. I guess I need to find alternate Tennis place for classes now. Good bye Lifetime Tennis due to your policies and your staff attitude.
