Kitsap Children's Musical Theatre (KCMT) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2000 that gives Kitsap County children the chance to train and perform onstage, staging two to three Broadway-style productions each year. Each summer KCMT partners with Poulsbo's Parks & Recreation Department to run a week of musical-theater summer camp; its Littles Camp is built for ages 4-6 and centers on singing, dancing, and crafts. The company's offices are in Poulsbo and its performances are held at the North Kitsap Community Auditorium. Daily camp hours are not stated on the site.

★★★★Joe SmalleyKCMT and the North Kitsap School District share space in the Briedeblik School building. I visited a North Kitsap Gymnastics event in the gymnasium. The gymnasium is so full of gymnastics equipment such that event participants had to weave between it and duck under wires when crossing the gymnasium. Spectator space and lockers share stage space. There are no showers nor locker rooms. Gymnasts were changing clothes in the hallway. The building entry, stage, and bathrooms are handicap accessible. The day we were there, no one could find the switch to the bathroom lights. It was hard to primp in the dark.

They teach the children acting, singing, and dancing. They fine tune choreography for every song and every scene. This is not a children's school play - it is a professional production. The parents come together for set and costume design and construction while the children work on their parts. They have so many kids that they have multiple casts for each show, with each cast doing a number of performances. Bottom line - professional theater group that my daughter is lucky to be a part of
