Kiddos and Kin is a Tacoma music studio at 3401 6th Ave that teaches Kindermusik movement-and-music classes for newborns through about age ten, plus KeyNotes group piano, drawing on Kodaly, Suzuki and Orff methods. Its Kindermusik summer camps are small sessions for children ages 3.5-6 that combine music, instruments, sensory play, art and storytelling. A satellite studio operates at Dumas Bay in Federal Way.

She would start expressing her excitement before we even got through the door! These days, I can't get her shoes off fast enough so she can join the fun. My daughter has Down Syndrome and I was initially concerned about how she would do keeping up with her peers. However, I quickly realized I didn't need to be concerned. The class activities were easily adapted to my daughter's abilities and gave her plenty of room to observe, explore, and grow. The classes have provided a perfect environment for interacting with and learning with her peers. My daughter loves to listen to the music from class at home and repeat activities and dances over and over. The classes also incorporate signing in the curriculum. This has been a wonderful compliment to the signing we practice at home! Ms. Shay is always so welcoming and loving. She creates an environment where each child feels accepted and seen. I am so grateful we found Kindermusik With Shay!!!
