Kidz Love Soccer

★★ 2.37 reviewsOlympia, WA

Private

Instructional soccer program for young children delivered largely through city recreation and parks departments; in Olympia it is booked through Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation and held at local schools and parks. Classes meet once a week and follow a proprietary non-competitive curriculum with levels from Mommy/Daddy & Me and Tot-Soccer through Pre-Soccer, Soccer 1 and Soccer 2. Summer camps add skill demonstrations, games and instructional scrimmages in the same non-competitive format, suited to first-time players.

It’s a very ill-conceived operation. Our experience was basically a poorly organized scrimmage with kids from such a large range of skill levels and ages that it was of almost zero benefit to any of them. No focus on drills or developing fundamentals. I love soccer but would not recommend this program to anyone.

Not very honorable in how they treat their employees. I was not impressed by some of the things that I have heard in how they treat their employees and they do not seem to care. They were not organized in any way and it seemed what we were told and what we received were two different things.

Observed one small 15 minute session of actual soccer all month for my 8 year old. I would definitely expect more instruction. Not bad for some casual cardio for kids with minigames involving a soccer ball. But don't expect your kids to know about actual soccer when they are done.

No instructors/coaches showed up for the first class. Multiple phone calls from my wife and myself were not returned. I feel like I may have been ripped off.

Kidz love soccer is a rip off especially for young toddler aged kids. We did it through Olympia with my young daughter. We met at Nisqually school. The class was 30 minutes long, the “coach” ALWAYS started at least 10 minutes late and ALWAYS finished on time. So class time was cheated. None of the parents were happy and we definitely felt robbed. It’s soccer. They just sent me an email to sign up again and prices went up to $80 for the one month session...and no t-shirt btw. Wow. Sign your child up for a team, anything but this camp. It seems as though unless you have the good fortune of getting an experienced soccer coach as opposed to what we got (a young unhappy girl, out of shape, lazy, non-personable, with seemingly ZERO soccer knowledge) you will feel cheated.
