Rainier Soccer Alliance is a Washington-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that has run youth soccer in Puyallup and the surrounding communities since 1976, made up of RSA Union (formerly Puyallup Soccer Club) and RSA Elite (formerly South Hill Soccer Club). It fields recreational teams at U6-U19 through RSA Union and competitive teams at U9-U19 through RSA Elite, with players registering for league seasons and trying out for the select sides. The club's site covers registration, tryouts, schedules, college-bound player guidance and referee recruitment; it lists no summer camp program.

★LeAnn SextonKeeps kids active… The RSA rec side seems like the better choice, if you can’t find other options—-but there’s plenty of better options out there. I haven’t seen them coach at the Elite level, except for the “joystick coaching” in the middle of plays. When they need players they just borrow, or transfer in, players from the rec league to play and bench the players they deem as “team fillers”. RSA Elite is one of the cheapest club programs for a reason. I’d say you get what you pay for but that would be an overstatement.

★Nicole EneraDon’t waste your money. Unprofessional director of coaching and the president won’t even get back to me then I realized they have the same last name. My daughter played one year on their g14 elite team. It was one disappointment after another with the coaches. It seems like it trickles down from the management. When I talked to the director he blew me off and said I was being rude when I told him it seemed like he didn’t care. Then he made fun of the fact that my kids once played for the YMCA. He’s an arrogant jerk who seems like he has no respect for women. There are better companies to play for that actually care about what is going on!

I have watched them in action on the pitch and their expectations of good sportsmanship while being competitive in a league sport is balanced. The coaches are highly trained and experienced with many having some of the highest licenses for coaching available. The organization is far more reasonable than the other clubs in the area. It would be well worth your time to check them out.
