Keys to Success Music is a music lesson service in Oakland County specializing in piano for young beginners from around age four, with teachers travelling to the student's home for in-home lessons. It also offers guitar and voice instruction and a Music Together early-childhood program. Its site lists private lessons and classes rather than any summer camp.

My kids have loved their private piano lessons with Keys to Success! So grateful to have found this great music community.
Finding Keys to Success Music has been one of the best things to happen for our child. From the very first lesson, we knew we were in the right place. Having our teacher come to our home immediately put our child at ease. We’ve watched such a beautiful transformation take place over the past few months—our child’s confidence has truly blossomed. They walk away from each lesson with a sense of accomplishment and joy, and we’ve noticed how that positivity carries over into other parts of their life as well. His teacher, Anamarie, is nothing short of amazing. Her credentials speak for themselves, but it’s her approach to teaching that really sets her apart. She’s patient, encouraging, and always finds a way to make learning fun and meaningful. She adapts to our child’s pace and personality, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about their progress and well-being. The studio owner is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve met. From day one, she’s gone above and beyond to create a space that is supportive, professional, and inspiring. You can tell this is more than just a job—it’s a true passion. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Keys to Success Music family and can’t recommend it enough to any parent looking for a nurturing and high-quality piano education for their child.
Kennedy is an outstanding piano teacher whose passion for music and teaching truly shines through in every lesson. From the very beginning, she made learning the piano both approachable and enjoyable. She has a natural ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels, and her patience and encouragement create a supportive learning environment. What sets Kennedy apart is her personalized approach—she tailors each lesson to suit her student’s pace and goals. Whether it’s mastering technique, understanding music theory, or learning a favorite song, Kennedy balances structure and creativity perfectly. She’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in her students’ progress. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve seen significant improvement in my playing and confidence. I highly recommend Kennedy to anyone looking for a skilled, dedicated, and inspiring piano teacher. Keys to Success Music Studio is an incredible place for anyone looking to grow musically in a warm, encouraging, and professional environment. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that the studio is built on a love for music and a true commitment to student success. They cater to all levels, from complete beginners to more advanced players, and offer personalized guidance to help each student reach their full potential. The studio is well-organized, welcoming, and filled with positive energy. Whether you’re looking to learn piano, voice, or another instrument, Keys to Success is the perfect place to develop your skills and confidence. I can’t recommend this studio enough—it’s truly a gem for anyone passionate about music!
Extremely disappointed with Keys to Success Music Studio. I paid $540 for what was supposed to be 10 instructional classes, but my daughter only received 9. When I emailed the owner about the missing session, she claimed all classes had been completed and that the recital counted as the 10th class. That recital took place in the same classroom, on the same keyboard sitting on a children’s desk—hardly instructional, and certainly not worth $60. The instructors have no special credentials, and there was nothing remarkable about the program to justify the price. Lessons were 30 minutes long, held in a regular school classroom using a portable keyboard. For that setup and level of instruction, the cost is excessive. I paid less for this same company to come to my home. What’s worse is realizing that all the students are essentially paying $54 for a recital held in the school we already pay tuition for. If even 18 students are enrolled, that’s nearly $1,000 for a barely one-hour recital—with minimal effort or added value. This program feels like a cash grab, not a high-quality enrichment opportunity. I would not recommend it to other families. Not sure how to respond to Anamarie's comment below so I need to edit my review to respond. ALL BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Thank you for your response. However, I MUST strongly disagree with several of your claims about the structure and value of the piano enrichment program. First and foremost, I was explicitly told the program would include 10 instructional sessions. At no point was it communicated that the final session would be a recital or “celebration” in place of an actual lesson. A recital, especially one held in a regular classroom using a keyboard placed on a children’s desk, is not equivalent to a private instructional session. It’s not instructional, nor does it justify the same rate—especially when I paid $540 with the clear understanding that those funds were for 10 lessons, not 9 plus a casual performance. Secondly, your comparison to the in-home summer program does not justify the inflated pricing of this model. You claim the current school-based program includes the cost of facility use and coordination, but the program is run at a school we already pay tuition for, in a classroom that isn’t designed or equipped for music instruction. Using a portable keyboard and rotating through multiple students in the same space does not reflect a premium learning experience. Frankly, there is nothing about this setup that justifies $60 per 30-minute session. Last semester, I contacted Amaya about receiving one fewer lesson than promised, but unfortunately, I never received a response. With the holidays approaching, I regret not following up—but that doesn’t change the fact that the discrepancy occurred twice, and no one from your team took responsibility either time. Additionally, your response dismisses my concerns without accountability or consideration for the lack of transparency and follow-through. I am in contact with my children's school, and they will review current market standards and prices of these so-called high-quality lessons that you claim to be providing. The school has a dedicated music room with a piano, so I'm not sure why, as the director and owner of this company, you have not advocated for the lessons to be conducted in that dedicated music room with the piano. I wasn't fully aware of the cost last semester because I initially signed my daughter up for the group lessons but was forced to enroll in the individual classes. It’s unfortunate that your business has chosen to ignore the concerns of paying families, especially when it’s clear this program is being marketed as something more than it actually is. I had higher expectations for both professionalism and responsiveness. ALL BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE KEYS TO SUCCESS MUSIC. Her instructors use their phones for the lesson. Children do not receive piano books. It is very low quality. Search elsewhere for high-quality piano lessons. THIS COMPANY SCAMS FAMILIES!
