I understand the coaches are volunteering, but they should at least know the rules. How are these kids supposed to learn anything if the coach has no idea what he's doing? Maybe if he spent more time learning the difference between a goal kick and a corner kick and less time vaping on the sidelines, it would have been a better experience.
Andersen Park is the soccer mecca for Kenosha. Well-kept fields and the KASL staff, coaches, and referees are great people. I've had 5 kids play in the league and they've loved it. Make sure to bring a blanket in early spring/late fall - it seems like it's always 15° colder and windy at Andersen!
My son is 4 and excited to play soccer. His best friend is almost 4 and will be on the tots team. This would be the first time my son would be playing an organized sport. We requested my son be on the tot group to introduce him to the sport. KASL was very inflexible to this request which is their choice but left a bad taste in my mouth. I understand as they get older they would need be more strict but I am flabbergasted that they couldn’t have a bit of flexibility for such a young age. We are looking for a another group that puts people above policy. Very disappointed
Even with sloshy ground the fields are still very well maintained! Thank you KASL!
