The John Holland Boathouse on the bay at Surrey and Calvert Ave in Ventnor Heights is home to Viking Rowing Club, which runs the Chicken Dippers Summer Rowing Program - a five-week summer programme introducing children ages 10 to 14 to the sport of crew. The club has taught more than 10,000 youngsters and adults to row over 50 years, and the boathouse also houses crews for several area high schools. It is named for founder Dr John W. Holland.

Have tried many times over the years to get info and never a response, useless. . I been rowing since 1966 and belong to and row out of Fairmount and Pennsylvania Barge Club. I thought a local club would be good. Don't waste your time, drive to Philly!
