Southern Ocean Baseball Academy

Southern Ocean Baseball Academy is a baseball and softball training academy at 100 McKinley Avenue in Manahawkin (Stafford Township), NJ. Its mission statement says the academy has "assembled a highly skilled and passionate staff of baseball and softball instructors to allow athletes to gain this edge at all levels of play" and that it will "not only develop a players skills on the diamond but also build self esteem and character while fostering a love for the game". The academy runs four weeks of summer clinics for players from beginner age up to 16 - a Jr. SOBA beginners clinic and world series, all-around baseball and softball clinics, and baseball and softball hitting clinics with video analysis - all held either at the academy or at the Doc Cramer Sports Complex. Alongside the clinics it fields SOBA Revolution travel baseball and SOSA Liberty travel softball teams by age group, holds open tryouts for them, and sells individual, small-group and monthly private lesson packages in hitting, pitching and catching. Cage, team and private facility rentals are available on request, and the office is open by appointment.
