All-Star Sports Academy - Cherry Hill
Private
All-Star Sports Academy runs four-day indoor baseball summer camps at its Cherry Hill training center for 7U-12U athletes, plus a Youth College Coaches Camp for 11U-14U players. The day runs 9:00am to 2:00pm: morning training on hitting, fielding and throwing from 9:00 to 11:30, a lunch break, then games and competition from 12:30 to 2:00. A camp T-shirt is included with registration; lunch is not provided, so campers bring their own. The academy runs softball camps at the same location.

Powered by GoogleAs a parent, I wanted to invest in my son’s development and give him every opportunity to grow. We paid for two seasons with Combat as well as individual training sessions. Over that period, the team won only two games, and there was no visible adjustment in coaching or training to help the players improve. Instead, a third-string team was added without addressing fundamentals. We eventually made the difficult decision to leave Combat. In just four weeks with his new team and facility, our son has improved dramatically and now serves as their main pitcher. His new coach also shared that he had learned improper mechanics through the individual coaching we paid for, which was extremely disappointing. Coach Ryan did not seem receptive to feedback, and there did not appear to be accountability for player progress or development. When families spend money and trust coaches with their child's growth, they expect results, responsiveness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, we did not receive that. This experience was not worth the financial or emotional investment, and I remain deeply disappointed.
Great! Staff are polite, lots of equipment, cages as well. My goto for 3 years now!
Great place for team practices! My kid's team booked a single cage, but there were multiple open cages and no one monitors who’s using what, so our whole team was able to spread out to 4 or 5 cages and get reps in. Staff doesn’t check in or monitor, which makes it easy to get a ton of work in without the added cost. Trainers and teams can really take advantage!
Paid for lessons was not able to use them due to football season and my work schedule. Someone calls from the office to see if my some needed any training. I replied yes I believe I have some sessions to use. The person from the office replies on No those lessons expired. I asked after I already paid for them He replied. Yes. Was so angry did not bother to get his name or ask any more questions. Just told them I will look else where. Make sure when you pay for your sessions you use them immediately.
I signed my son up for 9U/10U tryouts for $25. We went to the tryout and at the end were told we would be contacted the following week. We weren't called so the following week I called to find out what was going on. Rob told me that they liked my son's talent but they didn't have enough kids to make a team. I told him that there were enough kids at the tryout for a team so why wasn't there going to be a team. He said they have 9U/10U tryouts but they have 9U and 10U separate teams. There weren't enough kids for a 10U team. After thinking about it I called for a refund of my $25...they knew going into the tryout (since it was the second and last tryout) that there wasn't enough kids. They wasted my time and money even showing up. I have called 2 times and emailed Rob and he hasn't responded to my request for a refund. The guy Jake I just spoke to said their policy is no refunds but they took my money when they knew there wouldn't be a team. I didn't pay for an evaluation...I paid for a TEAM tryout. It isn't a lot of money but it is the point...how many people do they steal money from in the same manner.
