Hyde Park School of Dance runs a four-week summer intensive for ages 8-18, meeting Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm from July 6-31, with training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, breaking, studio hip hop, yoga, musical theater, and West African dance and a culminating showcase on July 31. Dancers are evaluated the first morning and placed into one of three level groups; a minimum of one year of Ballet 1, Jazz 1, or Modern 1 is required, and weekly enrollment is available. The studio also offers a Little Dancer Summer Camp with full-day and morning-only options, plus pointe, choreography, and ballet bootcamp workshops and two four-week class sessions. Scholarships are available.
