Would not recommend for working parent to have the y family pass if you planning on using the pool they are only open 1-430 though their sign says 5 they are only open 3 1/2 hours a day for the pool on the weekend when it's still 90 degrees at 5 O clock and it doesn't get dark in the summer til 7:30/8 pm… do better y and change your pool joirs for families who actually have to work to pay for your pass. Not to mention online it says their pool is open on Sundays 1pm to 5pm and when I called and asked it was open they have their pool closed on Sundays. SO WHEN ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO USE IT IF THEY ACTUALLY WORK AND DONT LIVE OFF THE CITY OR RETIRED!

Never felt more judged than in this building. Was looking into which membership would work me for and I determined it was the married couple plan. After the gentleman informed me I could do that plan, as no proof of marriage was required, an older lady (some director title) input herself into our conversation and told me the gentleman misspoke about that plan to me. That it would not work. When I asked what the reasoning was because I was not understanding, she took a deep breath like she was becoming flustered and tried to keep her calm. I’m unsure if it was because I was a man trying to add another friend on my account. If so shame on you. The only person who gets 5 stars in my opinion was the younger kind gentleman helping me, who also stated he’s done this plan with other people in this same situation before. My question is if it was done before why couldn’t it be done then?? Oh wait it’s because it’s one of those new “rules” they seem to make up on the spot. Always heard people talk about it but never believed they would treat someone this way til I experienced it firsthand, such a disgusting behavior coming from someone 3x as old as me.

We came here from citywith a ymca, and we were just a member. here we get greeted by name. We're known, and there's so many supportive things like a place for prayer requests, people are really helpful when you need to get involved. It's more of a community than just a club.

My first experience at this YMCA didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Having visited many YMCAs nationwide, I’ve often been embraced by warm and cheerful welcomes. Unfortunately, this one felt a bit different, as the atmosphere seemed to lack that friendly touch. Even when I called, the responses felt a bit monotone, which was disheartening. I did notice that the equipment is somewhat outdated, but I appreciate the commitment to getting new equipment soon—this shows promise for improvement. While some of the front desk staff members were genuinely helpful and well-trained, the overall vibe didn’t foster the welcoming spirit that is so essential to the YMCA's mission. My first friendly interaction came from someone in a higher position, which was a nice surprise. I have great admiration for what the YMCA organization does and the positive impact it has on so many lives daily. This facility has great potential, but I believe focusing on the small details that create a welcoming environment could enhance the experience for everyone involved. I couldn’t help but smile at the employees I encountered, even if it was just a glance, hoping to share a moment of connection, yet I found that many didn't reciprocate. It’s a gentle reminder of the importance of fostering those small moments of kindness.
