I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment my children and I received at this pickleball court today. We were simply trying to enjoy some outdoor time, away from screens, when we were accosted by a so-called "manager." This woman, without any tact or respect, demanded we leave immediately because we hadn't "checked in," despite the gate being wide open and no clear instructions posted. Her rude and dismissive attitude was completely uncalled for. She informed us no pickleball allowed so we asked where could we play and basically told us to figure it out. What kind of person kicks out a family, including young children, who are just trying to enjoy a game? This experience was beyond disappointing; it was outright discriminatory (we aren’t white) and ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant afternoon. I strongly advise families to avoid this place if this is the kind of welcome you can expect. I am a Hoover resident that pays my tax money I should be able to use the courts that are available whenever I want AT A PUBLIC PARK.
