Powered by GoogleLet me start by mentioning that I am from a small town in Indiana and I've been playing basketball since I was 7 years old.....and when we enrolled our 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son into this program I truly felt like I was back in one of my home gyms. We've tried out a few programs here in the city and Hi-Five completely exceeded our expectations! If you are looking for a well organized program to introduce basketball to your child look no further, you found it! This program teaches your child all the necessary fundamentals of basketball from dribbling, shooting, passing, footwork, teamwork, conditioning and even taking charges. They begin with a 2 week drafting process to allow time for each coach to evaluate every kid that's in the program before they put the teams together. Each kid gets a full NBA inspired jersey and short set, even the pre-k group got their own jersey and short set which was so sweet :) The coaches were knowledgeable and really took the time to get to know our child. They made sure that they were safe and that they were encouraged even when they were not having the best game; this is something you don't find everywhere you go. I also loved that we ended the season with an actual bracket to play for the championship and each kid walked out of the program with a trophy! They even gave out an MVP award as well as other metals/ awards for most improved, best sportsmanship etc. Every week we were informed on game times, where the game would take place and all important information you would want to see which shows just how organized they are. Our son began this program barely being able to dribble and he left feeling more confident about his skills, his role, his dribbling and his shot. We absolutely love this program!
If you're looking for a place to take you kids to learn the game of basketball please bring them here. I've tried a few different basketball programs and this has been the best program hands down, my daughter (4 years old) and my son (6 years old) have grown so much since joining this program. The coaching staff are amazing.
Hi-Five parties are the best! Being summer camp counselors, the coaches are GREAT with the kids and make everyone feel included. We've had multiple parties with Hi-Five and always receive positive feedback from boys and girls alike! The facility also offers a huge party space apart from the play area.
The Hi-Five organization and team are truly one of a kind. By far the best we've experienced in Chicago. Both of my children are active in the Hi-Five summer camp, the days off school camps, and the basketball league, and we have had a wonderful experience with each. Both the camps and the leagues are very well run, with experienced/positive coaches who give it their all, and families with wonderful children, many of whom we now know outside of Hi-Five. Both of our children have improved in sports, both their level of interest as well as their abilities, since starting, but the benefits we've gotten from Hi-Five go way beyond just sports. It's the confidence our children have developed from being a part of this organization that truly makes it special. I can't recommend joining Hi-Five enough!
We had the best experience at high five. This was our first year and the coaches were great. I have 2 boys, ages 7 and 9 and both boys loved the activities, the highlights were Fridays when they would bring in special guests. Everything was very well thought out and Brad is a master at making the kids comfortable. My younger son doesn’t like to swim and Brad made accommodations, no problem! Love that! We will definitely be back next year!!
