I used the YMCA and lot and enjoy my workout. Vast majority of the visitors are respectfully and curious. A fun place but timing in important fir guys since the locker room can get a bit crowded.

This place does not accommodate to basketball at all. They do not have the actual basketball court open for basketball but literally 20% of the time. There are lots of basketball in Silverdale who just don’t even bother coming here because they want to give the basketball court to every other activity except for basketball. They have essentially severely hindered the local basketball community here in Silverdale/Poulsbo. Build something to allow basketball players to be able to play basketball. You guys collect a lot of money it is not impossible to change or update the building to create enough space for everyone. Basketball courts are for basketball and when you allow all of the other activities to occur on the court these peoplle are not even respecting the court itself. They wear outdoor shoes and walk right onto the court and it brings dirt and dust to the floor and then the staff doesn’t even bother wiping the courts when they are done. They damage the court with non basketball court shoes when these elderly folks come in and do their dance classes and take the wax off of the floor. This creates a much less safe environment for the players when they try to play on your courts. Something needs to be done because there are tons of 15 and under aged players who just want to play and you are only giving them time after 7:30 PM when that is not the time for every young person to be out they need a wider range of available times to chase their dreams and passions and instead you are giving 80% of the court time to middle aged people who have no future in earning a scholarship to play pickleball. Invest in the community, the kids do not want pickleball they want basketball and even volleyball. Open up half the court at least to 50% of the day not just 6am-8pm when kids are going getting ready for school or 7:30-9:30 when they should be resting or eating dinner with their families.

Such a warm, friendly, vibrant place with sincere welcoming personable staff! I love bringing my nanny kid here for classes and swimming, will the kids slide in the pool be replaced soon? I was told it was in need of repair, I wish there were more options for toddlers in the little beach area, maybe some balls or floaties? They have areas at various community rec centre's I have been too that put out floating mats and pool noodles/balls etc in a designated area

Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities are always clean. Never have to wait for a machine because of the selection and layout. Great selection of fitness and wellness classes. Sauna and steam room are great amenities. Kids love the swim lessons here, too. The beachfront pool and lazy river are great for family open swim.

The first thing that I noticed about the YMCA gym is how clean and well-maintained it is. The floors are always spotless, the equipment is always in good condition, and the locker rooms are always fresh and tidy. The staff at the YMCA gym is also amazing. They are always friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to help you find what you need. One of the things that I love most about the YMCA gym is the sense of community. There are people of all ages and fitness levels at the gym, and everyone is always supportive and encouraging. I also love the variety of fitness classes that the YMCA gym offers. Whether you are looking for a high-intensity workout or a more relaxing yoga class, the YMCA gym has something for everyone. Overall, I am so impressed with the YMCA gym. It is a clean, well-maintained gym with a friendly and supportive staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to get fit and healthy.
