More Than a Camp—A Lifeline, a Family, a Place That Truly Sees Your Child It’s rare in this world to find a place that not only promises community and care—but delivers it with every fiber of its being. Harbor Hills Day Camp in Mendham, NJ isn’t just a camp. It’s a second home, a safe haven, and a powerful force of love, fun, and growth for children. And for families like mine, it’s been nothing short of life-changing. My son Mason has been embraced at Harbor Hills in ways that continue to leave me speechless. From the start, he was welcomed, supported, and seen—not just as a camper, but as Mason. They recognize the spark in each child and meet them with patience, joy, and unwavering dedication. And let me say—that matters. Especially today. The camp’s commitment to safety is beyond reassuring—it’s rock solid. But even more incredible is the emotional safety they provide. Recently, my family faced a personal challenge, and while many places talk about “being like family,” Harbor Hills showed me what that really looks like. They stood by us. They cared. They acted. And in doing so, they reminded me that there are still places where people lead with heart. Mason comes home from camp glowing—with confidence, with laughter, and with stories I’ll cherish forever. He’s grown in ways I didn’t expect—from trying new things to becoming more self-assured. Harbor Hills is shaping not just his summer—but his future. To any parent looking for a camp that does more than just fill time between June and August—this is your sign. Give your child the gift of this extraordinary community. Let them be a part of something real, something beautiful. Let them grow at Harbor Hills.

I have been in this summer camp for three years, I was going to do a fourth but unfortunately I moved to the UK. This was the best camp I have ever been to there are loads of activities like sports, ropes courses, cooking, boating and fishing and much more. The food they give you is amazing they have a variety of options like the main food for the day , sandwiches, pasta, bagel, fruit, salad and if you have an allergy they will help you and make you something. They also do buses near your area which is really convenient. They do swimming twice a day which one is instructional and then free swim. They have events like sports league, theatre, and on week 7 they do Olympics. They do this for 8 weeks during the summer. If you or your kid wants to do something during the shop I definitely recommend this amazing summer camp. The workers will help you and there are nice counsellors. Thank you Harbour Hills Day Camp

Harbor Hills Day Camp was truly the best camp experience my daughter, Masha, has ever had! The camp perfectly fit all her needs, offering an amazing variety of activities. From kayaking to climbing and even cooking classes, there was always something exciting to do. The staff were incredibly friendly, making her feel right at home from day one. Masha spent the first four weeks there, and each day was filled with unforgettable adventures and pure joy. I couldn’t have asked for a better camp experience for her!

This was my daughter’s first summer at this camp and she absolutely loved it. She said this was the best summer ever! She enjoyed all the activities and tried new things that she likely would not have had an opportunity to experience such as: zip lining, archery, fishing/boating and ropes course. She got out of her comfort zone, tried new things and did not regret it. A big positive with this camp is that it has many other activities other than sports. My daughter is not into sports but there were so many other outdoor activities as well as science, art and theater that she enjoyed. She also got to do weekly horseback riding at the camp. My picky eater kid also loved the food here! I was shocked she was eating seconds at lunch (they are very generous in giving the kids more food if they are still hungry). And of course the bus picking up and dropping off right in front of your house is so convenient. We already signed up our kid for next summer. The summer camp bar has now been set high, as I don’t think she will be satisfied attending any other camp after her fun Harbor Hills experience.

So far, this has been an incredible experience for our family. The staff has been informative, prompt to respond, and genuinely everyone there has seemed to care about providing the best possible experience. Mike, the owner, takes the time to meet every family, and is accessible to speak directly after camp starts. Nicky, who is the camp manager seems to always be at the ready to answer any question, text etc. Andrew, the director of the intermediate boys is kind and understanding - when you talk to him about anything or ask a question, he follows through and calls back with an update. Our son comes home happy, tired, and excited to share about his day. The breadth of activities is impressive. The camp grounds are very well maintained and clean. Our son told us this has been the best summer ever. We are very happy first time Harbor Hills campers. 😎 This camp is definitely an investment, but so far, has been well worth it from what we can tell.
