Powered by GoogleHamilton Rec Center is very racist. Carly is the pool supervisor who would not allow my children to swim in a middle lane. Carly said she’s been working here for a year and I’ve been coming for years and never had an issue. I asked other life guards what are the rules to swim in the middle lane and they said it goes by height. The farthest lane which is the deepest has always been the lane you have to take a swim test. Today Carly and Jason both told me that my children could not swim in the middle lane without a swim test or an adult. Prior to the visit it went by height no issues. I watched another life guard ask another child whom was Caucasian to stand in the water to see their height. Which is the rule I have always went by. Asked another life guard she also stated it was ok if they were in the middle lane because it’s by height. I’ve asked multiple other parents their experiences with Hamilton and they have the same issue. If you are of color they treat you differently. Especially in the after school program and summer program. I would not suggest joining because you will be treated differently.

I have always loved this place, I learned how to swim there, played football in the park, went to H.Salt Fish & Chips afterwards... It was a staple for us inner-city kids growing up!! Thank you Hamilton Pool, and SF Park & Rec for keeping this place alive!! ❤️✊🏾❤️
Love this place! The park we love. Haven’t checked out the pool yet but it does look really cool. The park is split into 2 sections to separate older and younger kids. Love it!!! Tennis courts. Rec center. Playground!! I feel people over look this place to often. Must keep this place open. ❤️❤️
Went for the Curious George reading event as a chaperone with my son's class. They have a lot of programs for the community. Going April 6th for the egg hunt and free swimming.
