My daughter does gymnastics here and has loved it! She recently had surgery and had to be out for a bit but coming back, they have been so good to her and modifying her workouts to follow doctors orders. It has been great for her to not lose all the progress she has made over the last few years, especially this last year!

Staff & instructors are great ! My daughters loves Gymcats and always makes friends . We love it !! Buuuuut perhaps , guests shouldnt stand by the glass and block everywhere else 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our child enjoys attending, and the staff seem kind, but overall the program feels more like an expensive playtime for younger kids than a structured gymnastics class. Many of the activities involve things like hula hoops and balloons, and climbing which are fun but are also things kids can easily do at home or a park. I would love to see more focus on foundational gymnastics skills, especially since the class is only 45 minutes per week. At that age, repetition and consistent practice are really important for building a strong foundation. It would also be helpful if there were opportunities for additional practice time without significant extra cost. As kids progress into competitive levels, the expenses also seem to increase quickly. For example, the uniforms are quite expensive, and there are additional fees just to attend and watch competitions. I understand that running a program like this comes with costs, but a bit more balance between pricing and value would go a long way for families. One other thing that stood out was the display of sexual and pride-related material in the facility. Trans and pride content is inherently sexual and inappropriate for children. I personally feel it would be better to keep the environment centered strictly on athletics and skill development rather than topics that can be interpreted as political or social messaging. I believe most parents simply want a neutral environment where kids can focus on learning and having fun.

Awaiting response from the owner on my daughter’s progression in gymnastics. According to coach Nicole and the front desk it’s based on your child’s age before they can be physically moved up. I’ve been asking coach Nicole if my daughter is ready to move up her friends she started with are both in higher classes and my daughter is still in a beginner class. I asked what she could do better and all she said was listen better and show up on time. Never been late (her dance class ends 15 mins before gym starts)and since she’s started going there listening issues have never been brought up to me anytime I’ve asked for an update. My daughter went there once with her hair down after dance class, coach nicole put her hair up the first week. Several weeks later she says her not being ready before class is also a reason she’s not moving up. This was when she first started and I didn’t know the gym requirement. I’m a dad I didn’t have a hair tie in the car. Coach Nicole said it was no big deal but weeks later brings it up when I ask about my daughter moving up. If my daughter’s progression is going to be capped till she’s 6-6 1/2 I am just wasting money in the basic gym class. One person even said we aren’t here to make them Olympic athletes. All I want is my daughter to be able to move up and not be held back because of her age. Coach Nicole doesn’t care about retention of students either as soon as I brought up bringing her somewhere else her teacher didn’t even care said it’s not her rules it’s the owners there’s nothing she can do about it other than push my daughter more. I want my daughter moved up or out of that class with a different instructor who cares more about their students progression. (Update) My daughter was given an assessment by the owner and she’s still in the same class. After a couple of weeks I will be pulling her from gymcats gymnastics and maybe her dance class after this term is up. I’ve spoken with multiple parents who have been around gymcats staff for years. At the end of the day they don’t care about retention because they have a waitlist of kids to start classes there. Unless you are going more than 1x a week expect to stay at the same level for months and it’s at their discretion when your child is ready to move up. Every parent that I have talked to ended up leaving gymcats for the similar reasons. I was going to give another instructor a chance but it interferes with other stuff I have my child in throughout the week. My daughter says the gym class is boring but she’s sticking it out through this term to see if it gets better. I appreciate the owner taking the time to do an individual assessment but after talking with parents about similar issues I’m leaving the review as a 1 star. Other parents should be aware of how long they expect a child to stay at specific levels. Every child is different, just this last week another girl that’s in my daughter’s class was moved up and my daughter is still wondering why she can’t move up. My daughter and that one girl that’s just moved up last week are doing the same exact thing in class I’m physically watching the class while my daughter’s in it. Now it just seems like gymcats is trying to prove a point and leave my daughter in the same class until they want to move her up. I of course as a parent want my daughter to move up if she is telling me something is boring and she not being challenged enough. She waited for months on a waitlist to do this and she is not having fun. My daughter has also come out of the class in tears the last 4 weeks for hurting herself in class or just to get out of class to come check in with me to tell me something going on with her. She’s never come out during the class crying until I left this review online and spoke with the owner/coach about moving her up.

This place is great. Front desk ladies have always been helpful. All the teachers my kid has gotten have been great. Only problem is how crowded it can get. With so many people in a small space it can smell funky sometimes please consider some fresheners especially during the summer.
