Grapevine Sailing Club's junior program runs two-week youth summer sailing day camps on Lake Grapevine, based at Scott's Landing Marina. The Learn to Sail recreational camp takes ages 8-15 through knot tying and rigging, right-of-way rules, boat care and boating safety, mixing classroom time with on-water sessions in Optimist, Laser and Zest dinghies and closing the second week with a camper 'Sailing Olympics.' A separate Race Camp for ages 9-13 with prior sailing experience covers racing rules, boat mechanics and tactics in single-handed dinghies. Camps run Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and are organized with the nonprofit Grapevine Community Sailing Education Fund; registration goes through the City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation store.

If you like to sail..look up the calendar and come to a monthly social and meet some great folks and you will end up on a boat either to race or cruise for fun. Good times.

Great time! Went on a work team building trip, staff was very friendly, accommodating and informative, sailing was much more fun than I expected. Highly recommend checking it out.

Great group of people! I've enjoyed the sailing and social aspects of the club. Joining was one of the best decisions I've made in years!

My experience with the Grapevine Sailing Club has been great! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. I discovered the club by attending the Summer Sailing Seminar and where I got to make great friends with common interests. I learned the basics of sailing, and got to sail on four different boats, ranging from a 22 Foot Catalina to a 36 foot Hunter. What an amazing two weekends! That was almost 5 years ago, now I race in all the Regattas and Series races, and visit with the club membership for Social Events and Sailing! Every Wednesday there's an informal 'race' around the lake, and there's something going on practically every weekend!
